Posted : admin On 05.04.2020See below steps for the Windows version, followed by the Mac version. Make sure you are using the latest version of Bank2QFX. Download it from the Bank2QFX download page. Start Bank2QFX and select a transactions file (it could be QBO file, OFX file, QFX file, QIF file or PDF file). Convert CSV to QFX and import into Quicken 2019, 2018, 2017, 2016 (PC/Mac). Extract transaction data from CSV or Excel files from your bank. Prepare transactions quickly in Excel and convert.

- edited January 2019Hi @ Erica Eckberg ,
.OFX format is for Microsoft Money files. Your Bank has errors or you had Microsoft Money installed. .OFX is associated with Microsoft Money, not Quicken.
As if you need to reinstall Quicken 2018 / 2019 and on, see this Article: https://getsatisfaction.com/quickencommunity/topics/reinstalling-quicken-2018-for-windows?rfm=1&..thecreator - User of Quicken Subscription R25.18 & Quicken 2017 HBRP R19.8

Which bank are you downloading the OFX file from? Do they have a Quicken (QFX) option available?
Please let us know so that we can best assist you further.
Respectfully,

Harold, Why are you deleting my posts? The last one you deleted for not being relevant is not accurate. When I stopped the mobile sync, my direct connect in the desktop started working again without issue. Why should this guy try it? I had a support person on chat when this happened to document it. You also archived my one question about Wells mobile sync, please explain why you did that. I posted it to the appropriate forums.Hi, I don't understand I dont' have Microsoft money installed and it does this when I choose a qfx file from my banks website. If I am doing something wrong, please inform me what i should be doing so I don't get my posts deleted. Please be as specific as possible. Thank you. - edited January 2019What happens if you rename the file replacing the .ofx extension with .qfx?
I had a 401K account that I would download that was .ofx, although the website said it was a Download to Quicken file. When I changed it to .qfx, it imported fine..and still does.
I found these instructions:
To merge Quicken data files using an imported QXF file
- Open the Quicken file you want to merge the QXF data into.
- We recommend that you back up your existing Quicken file before
merging QXF data into it. To do so, choose File menu > Backup and
Restore > Backup. - Choose File menu > File Import > Quicken Transfer Format (.QXF) file.
- Type the name of the QXF file you want to import, or click Browse to select it.
- Click Continue to begin importing the file.
- If
there are accounts in the QXF file that can't be imported, such as
investing or business accounts, Quicken displays a list of those
accounts. - You'll see a confirmation message when the process completes. If
there are errors, you can click a link to review a log file that
contains more information about the QXF import. This log file can also
be reviewed later by choosing Help menu > Log Files.
- If
Just updates to 2014 Release 9 which is the latest

When Downloading Qfx Open In Quicken For Mac 2018 Manual
- edited October 2018A Web Connect file is a .QFX (F in the middle) and used to download and import transactions from the financial institution into Quicken.
The .QXF (X in the middle) file is used to transfer data between versions of Quicken (Win to Mac and vice versa, though the Mac to Win is flawed).
Have you confused the two and and mixed up the instructions possibly.-splasher using Q since 1996 - QW 2017 & Subscription - Win10

So the instructions you posted above are not correct for your issue.Sorry maybe I transposed but the files I;m downloading from Citibank are QFX (f in middle)
- edited October 2018The correct process is to download the .QFX file from the FI, then do File->File Import->Web Connect File .
Quicken has always checked to make sure that the FI is a valid participating Quicken partner. But, since 2015, the patch to Q2014 -2016 has required a valid Intuit Id which is why you are getting the vault window.
When you do this process now, what exactly is happening? Be very explicit in repeating the errors.-splasher using Q since 1996 - QW 2017 & Subscription - Win10
-Questions? Check out the Quicken Windows FAQ list - edited October 2018I have been having the exact same problem.
What happens when you 'download the .QFX file from the FI, then do File->File Import->Web Connect File' is that a 'sign in' window pops up asking me to sign to Quicken. It says 'Sign in with your Intuit ID'. The Intuit ID is already filled in. Then the next line says 'Intuit Password' and there is a box to enter that.
There is a 'sign in' button and a 'cancel' button.
When I enter my Intuit password and hit the 'sign in' button an error message pops up saying 'No internet connection available' and then 'We weren't able to connect to Connected Services. It appears as if there isn't any internet connection. Please attempt to sign in later.'
And that's it. The whole while my internet connection is in fact active. How can I make this work. It used to work but I do not remember having to connect to the internet, since the file has already been downloaded to my machine from the financial institution. - edited December 2016

I have been having the same issue since Jan. Haven't been able to download anything. I am about ready to throw quicken in the trash and go back to paper or another program that works if I can find one.I have been having the exact same problem.

I am running quicken 2014 on Windows 7 never had a problem till Jan when that Intuit ID window started coming up and I created an account but still doesn't work. Says no internet connection. - edited December 2016
Anyone having a problem with 'Internet connection' should ensure they are in fact on the latest patch (Rx) version for their year of Quicken. Since January when Quicken Inc put in a new security protocol old versions can not make a secure connection.I have been having the exact same problem.

And even if you have the latest version it is a good idea t to run the Mondo patch install to make sure all the files are up to date:

It used to work but I do not remember having to connect to the internet, since the file has already been downloaded to my machine from the financial institution.
The reason is because in fact Quicken has to establish a secure connection to do the automatic download, which it can't do with the old software.
